Helping Hand
CHBP is selecting a local organization each year to help and mentor.
CHBP has adopted School on Wheels for 2011.
School on Wheels is a project of Guadalupe Social Services, Catholic Charities of Collier County
School on Wheels is a woman to woman English tutoring program for migrant or other poor women. Basic survival English is tailored to the woman's needs. Without English, these women cannot help their children with their homework or communicate with doctors. We believe that "when you teach the mother, you teach the family."
School on Wheels is always in need of female volunteers. Training is provided and teaching experience or speaking another language besides English is not required. Please consider helping this worthy program.
CHBP adopted Eden Autism Services in 2010
Eden is a nonprofit organization founded in 1975 with a mission to improve the lives of children and adults with autism and their families.
Our board members will volunteer for different events, projects and lessons that the organization provides as we are committed to give back to our community.
